Most of Casey's pictures on this day is all out smiles. Disneyland definitely is the happiest place on earth, especially Tokyo Disneyland! The Japanese has a way of outdoing and bringing things to a different level. My husband who has been to Anaheim Disneyland and Orlando Disneyworld still keeps commenting how some activities and performances are new and unique.
It was raining the day we went there that we were hesitant to use our tickets. Since we had an open-date ticket, we were contemplating of returning the following day and enjoy other POI's on such a rainy day instead. But when we saw the park and heard the Disney songs we just kept moving inward. We were glad we did!
The performances and parades, specifically the night/electric parade, got us all enthralled! Also, the grand opening show by the front of the castle was still spectacular despite the rain. Casey can't stop smiling and laughing and that just made us the happiest parents on earth! We actually made the right decision to bring him to Disneyland for his birthday.
There are tons of reviews on Disneyland, as well as how-to-guides that I need not elaborate on it. Instead, I would like to write a letter to my son via this blog for him to read when he is old enough.
The reason for this trip and celebration...
Dear Casey,
Looking at your smiles in these pictures made coming to Disneyland worth it! Mom and Dad made the right choice of bringing you to see Mickey Mouse in person for your 2nd birthday! Your smiles made us the happiest parents on earth!
We have been blessed by your birth and with that we will celebrate it every year the best way we know how. We will explore the world near or far and make it your classroom. You have your parents' desire to explore and you have proven that by being very easy to travel with even at a very young age. Expect us to challenge your wanderlust as we celebrate life together as a family. Creating wonderful memories together is the best gift we can give you. Memories that we will treasure and celebrate as you deserve nothing but the best from Mom and Dad.
We love you very much and we will never get tired of telling you this... everyday!
Love,
Mom and Dad
PS. Your Dad got trigger happy with his camera that he had trouble choosing from the hundreds of photos he took. He decided to make a video out of it. (See below)
